Wednesday, May 30th, 2018 was National Senior Health and Wellness Day. The Gardens of Waterford held a “Health Is Wealth” event in honor of the day. They had Mrs. Jennings from the Alabama Department of Public Health, Nutrition & Physical Activity Dept. come in and talk about Go, Slow, and Whoa foods. Mr. Adkins from 2A Fitness also came to give a few chair exercise demonstrations. Mr. Ray showed the residents Rayflex’s Healthy Meal in a Jar. Kristy Butler at Montgomery Home Care Assistance provided an Anti-Inflammatory Trail Mix and bottled water to the residents as a healthy snack in between their nutrition and exercise activities.
“Yesterday was a healthy and tasteful event! Thank you so much Mrs. Butler and Home Care Assistance of Montgomery for being a part of our “Health Is Wealth” event. The Gardens of Waterford family really appreciates you!”
